COACHING TEAMS TO LAUNCH MULTIPLE MOVEMENTS

Workshop #5: Key Indicators that a Movement is Ready to Launch New Movements

You know a local KV Team is ready to launch a movement in another location, when:

  1. the local movement is healthy and growing.
  2. they have a vision and are willing to launch new movements.
  3. they have sufficient resources.

Other indicators may be when:

  1. God gives the team a vision and a burden for the lost in a new location. For example, at another university or even in another city.
  2. a Key Volunteer desires to help a friend studying at another university take the first step to pray and explore.

When a KV team is ready to launch a new movement they should consider the following to determine what new areas to expand to:

  1. Look for where God is working.
  2. Look for natural connections.
  3. Look for what is geographically close.
  4. Look for what are strategic and influential locations.

Assignment: As you coach a KV team that is trusting God to launch a new movement in a new faculty, university or city, think through the following questions:

Now that students are taking the initiative to start a new movement, they are in the position you were in as you started movement launching and building.  This means you need to consider how you can help them become a coach themselves.
