EXPLORE & NETWORK FOR NEW MOVEMENTS

Introduction to Explore and Network

Join God Where He is Working!

Keep in mind that in the Catalytic approach we ask God to direct us to potential volunteers not only where we have existing contacts, but we also take the initiative in faith to go to places where we don’t have any contacts in order to explore and network.  In this situation we are seeking to be strategic, targeting the schools where we see students are the most open (similar to how Paul choose to go by the river where he thought they would find a place of prayer in Acts 16:13-14).

In Catalytic movements these two things are held in tension:

  1. Go where God is working, regardless of how small or insignificant the university. You respond by going where God is leading and giving resources and vision for movements (which may not always be where it seems logical).
  2. At the same time, you need to be strategic and learn to take the initiative in places where you don’t have contacts, stepping out in faith that God does have resources and people in those places.
