What Do We Mean By Student-led?

Biblical Perspective: Student-led means that we take Scripture and the priesthood of all believers seriously (1 Peter 2:9-10). Even newborn Christians are priests and saints according to the Scriptures. They have the same Holy Spirit that mature believers have. Our confidence in student leadership begins here.

The New Testament is full of examples of new believers who were used immediately to lead others to Christ and to even be a part of launching and leading new movements and churches.

Assignment: Answer the following questions:

Think of some examples of new believers in Scripture who were used of God. How did God use them? What were the results? (You might start with Mark 5:1-20 and Acts 17:1-4 with 1 Thessalonians 1.)

What gives you confidence that it is possible that God can immediately use someone who comes to faith in Him?
