HOW TO FIND POTENTIAL KEY VOLUNTEERS
Workshop #2: Meet as Many Students As Possible to Discover Potential Key Volunteers
Experience has shown us that it is necessary to approach a large number of students when we are looking for Potential Key Volunteers. It is common to initiate a conversation with several hundred or even more than one thousand students to be able to find those handful of Potential Key Volunteers who will be involved in launching the movement. We want to be clear in who we are and what is our purpose as we initiate a conversation with students. We use a high filter to find those few whose hearts have been prepared by God to join us as movement builders. Because we use a high filter, we must be prepared to hear a lot of “No’s” from those who are not willing to be movement builders.
As you discover ‘people of peace’, meet with them to share your vision and discover what God is putting in their hearts and where you see Him working. As you find those who share the vision, take them through the KV Challenge, or another tool, which will enable you to determine their level of interest in helping to fulfill the Great Commission at their university.
Expect God to lead and expect the supernatural.
Watch the video below to see how Expedition Teams introduce themselves when they are exploring to find potential key volunteers.
Hopefully by now you’ve found some students who are receptive to hearing more about being involved in the Great Commission. If not, that just means you need to keep searching in your scope for those God has already prepared! Next you’ll learn how to challenge these people God has prepared to hear more.
