Workshop #3: What is Success in Catalytic?

Success is when we see students launching new student-led movements in new locations that are growing through the stages and ultimately multiplying new movements and laborers.

• What specific things can you do to set yourself up for success?
  1. Take responsibility for 10-40 universities or new locations.
  2. Trust God to launch new movements in new places by networking and evangelizing to discover and envision Key Volunteers who will be the local movement builders.
  3. Seek to advance (through finding and coaching Key Volunteers)  those locations forward into the next stage (‘Zero →  Key Volunteer’, or ‘Key Volunteer → Team’, or ‘Team →  Multiplying Movements’).

In the Catalytic approach, we believe that we can begin with new or untrained believers who have a heart for a movement and then coach and equip them to build a movement in their university.

An example of successful student-led ministry is Southeast Asia, which has been a pacesetter in using the Catalytic strategy. Their leaders expect that the Catalytic staff or teams see a 70% increase in the number of ministries in their scope each year.

The director and his wife are working with student leaders and volunteers in 9 schools while they have launched and are helping grow movements in another 24 universities!

In this past section, you’ve gained a deeper understanding of what movements are.  Now we’ll turn our attention to the people who make up and lead these movements.
