Workshop #1: DNA of a Movement


What is the core DNA that we would desire in any movement in any location?

In Acts chapter 2 we find a very unique situation and outpouring of God’s Spirit. In light of this we have to be careful not to build our expectations on God working in exactly the same way. However, there are principles we can learn and apply as we answer the critical question for this section: What do we want to see built in each university?


Assignment: Read Acts 1:12-14, Acts 2:1-47 (focusing especially on Acts 2:40-47) and answer the question below:

 

Keeping this DNA in mind, read the Global Movement definition below that CCC is using to define what we mean by “movement” in all of our ministries.  The focus of all our efforts is to see God raise up the critical mass we need to launch a new movement in every university.

What is a MOVEMENT? A spiritual movement is: God Working through a Team of Like-Hearted Disciples to Win, Build and Send toward the fulfillment of the Great Commission.

Over time, people in prayerful dependence on God’s grace will take action, resulting in the following four characteristics:
