HOW TO GO FROM PKVs to KVs
Workshop #1: Essential Characteristics for Key Volunteers
What are the minimal characteristics and commitments we need to see in a student or volunteer in order to move forward in faith that God could build a movement through them? Take a few minutes to watch Cam Fletcher talk about these essential characteristics.
We could summarize the characteristics as:
- Heart for God
- Heart for growth in following Christ
- Availability – ready to give a reasonable amount of time and priority to building a movement
- Growing heart for the lost (evangelism) and for the Great Commission
- Initiative/Action – many effective Key Volunteers are quite ordinary students, but one thing that characterizes them is that they take action in faith, applying what they are learning.
These characteristics show evidence of God’s work in the life of a potential volunteer whom He has prepared.
Now that you’ve got an understanding of the type of person who could be a KV, you’ll next explore how to develop and use a KV agreement to bring clarity to your coaching relationship.
