DISCOVER, UNDERSTAND & EMBRACE SCOPE
Workshop #1: Biblical Examples of Building Movements in Multiple Locations over Large Geographical Scope
As we seek to build on Biblical foundations, we want to explore and listen to what happened in the book of Acts. Paul and Barnabas, and later apostolic teams, are Biblical examples of laborers who were:
- focusing on multiple locations across a broad scope, as they were
- launching and then building and cultivating movements in just 2 years, all the while
- never becoming an essential element of the local critical mass. They could leave and the local ministry would continue to grow and thrive without their presence.
- (Take into consideration that much of their time on this journey was taken up in traveling by foot across a large area.)
Assignment: Read each of the following 3 passages in the book of Acts and answer the questions listed below each part.
Part I: Read Acts 11:19-26
Part II: Read Acts 13:1-4
Part III: Read Acts 14:21-28
The idea of working with multiple movements over a large scope is one with Biblical roots. You’ll begin the process of seeing how this can affect the way you work next.
