Course Introduction
What will it take?
God has called us as a worldwide ministry to work together with the body of Christ to see the Great Commission fulfilled. Our vision is to see Movements everywhere so that everyone knows someone who is a true follower of Christ.
These movements can begin as small spiritual fires igniting one university at a time as God moves through ordinary students and volunteers to penetrate the darkness with the light of the gospel – spreading all over the world.
Currently, God in His grace has given CCC a presence on nearly 20% of the universities of the world. But what about all the lost students on the other 80%?
How do we equip people around the globe who are eager to launch spiritual movements to reach the scope with more of a sense of urgency? What will it take to raise up and mobilize a labor force who could reach all the students in your scope with the gospel in the next 5 years? Catalytic student-led movements is one of the strategies God is using to help us move toward reaching the entire scope.
This training exists to fan the flames of what God is doing by providing for the equipping and training of new movement launchers and multipliers around the world!
As you walk through the workshops contained in each section, you will not only learn Biblical foundations and principles of Catalytic movements, you will begin to develop your vision and plan, as well as map your next steps to get started.
God wants to lead you as you take practical steps of faith to launch with Him and coach Key Volunteers to multiply new movements. In addition to the training sessions, you will also find basic resources that will help you start multiple fires of spiritual movements in different universities.
This training is put together in such a way that:
- You can work through it individually.
- It can be taught as a multi-day workshop.
- It can be broken up and taught over time.
- It can be covered in a small group setting.
- It is also being used as follow-up material to one of our 3-5 day on-site trainings.
Understanding the Structure
This is a simple illustration of how we approach Catalytic. Everything is built upon the foundation of God’s character and His promises, followed by Biblical principles and values, from which our vision flows. Much of the training focuses on these foundations, as they support the various methods we apply to launch, build and multiply movements everywhere. Please don’t skip these foundations as they are essential to launching and building movements that are sustained from generation to generation.

This training is in four sections and exists to equip you to see student-led spiritual movements in the unreached universities of your nation.
Foundations to Get Started
- Discover God and His promises as well as Biblical foundations for the Catalytic approach to Student-led Movements.
- Develop your vision based on what He has promised for your nation and learn to communicate that vision to potential partners and volunteers.
- Define your Scope: How many universities is God leading you to target? Where are they? Where and how do you see God working? How and with whom can you join Him there?
- Mobilize prayer to tear down Satanic strongholds internal and external (prayer teams, internet-based prayer, churches, decoding prayer walking in cities where you hope to launch).
- Understand the “Catalytic Paradigm” of ministry and what is a student-led movement.
Explore to Launch new movements
- Discover the resources and people God has already prepared to build His kingdom and mobilize resources and launch teams of like-hearted disciples who will win, build and send toward the fulfillment of the Great Commission. Identify and prioritize those.
- Identify 15-20 potential ways to find key volunteers and resources.
- Understand the what the Key Volunteer Agreement is and how and when to use it…
- Develop the materials and resources that you need to mobilize potential volunteers and partners.
Build and Coach to empower Key Volunteers
- Coach key volunteers and teams along the critical path of building movements, both in close proximity and at a distance.
- Develop resources for student-led in each key movement component.
- Provide some simple ways for young students to take solid steps toward building a movement.
- Give them simple, transferable, and desirable tools and strategies.
Multiply New disciples and Movements
- Build a movement that sees new movements launched locally and in other locations.
- Grow a national movement: Connect student leaders together from other locations across your city, region and nation.
One important note about this Catalytic training website
This training assumes that anyone going through it has a foundational understanding and experience in movement building (Win, Build, Send). Catalytic trainees should already be able to share the gospel and be able to teach others how to share. They should be familiar with and comfortable using basic CRU materials such as the follow up lessons, Transferable Concepts and other discipleship tools.
Therefore, this training will not include basic training in evangelism and discipleship and Bible study. We are operating under the assumption that new Catalytic trainees know how to do these things and are able to do these things with others.
This Catalytic Training website is not intended to be all-inclusive ministry training. If you have yet to go through training in any of the following topics we would encourage you to first receive that training before moving on. We recommend VOLT training to all who are new to launching and building movements.
How to have a quiet time
How to pray
How to study the Bible
How to lead a Bible study
How to share the gospel
How to do basic follow up with a new believer
Etc.
The articles, materials, and tools in this training have all been developed by Catalytic practitioners from a number of nations around the world. The momentum is growing… so let’s dive in.
